    2011 Stewardship Campaign Resources

    Stewardship Ministries

For 2011 we continue the theme of Come and See, and explore the idea of membership in the Church, the Body of Christ. To be a member of the Church is not the same as being a member of a club or civic group. The Church is the “Body of Christ” (1 Corinthians 12). Therefore, to be a member of the Church is to be a part of the living body of Christ. We invite all to Come and See what the Church can become with their active participation. Read More

    2012 Stewardship Campaign Resources

    Stewardship Ministries

Our theme for 2012 is Abide in Me from chapter 15 of the Gospel of John. At the Last Supper, as we read in Chapter 15 of the Gospel of John, Jesus instructed His disciples, "I Am the Vine; you are the branches." He was telling us that the purpose of our abiding in Him is that we may bear fruit for God in the world. "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit..." Just as the vine bears fruit only through its branches, so Jesus has chosen to work in the world through us. We are the members of His Body. Read More

    2013 Stewardship Campaign Resources

    Stewardship Ministries

Our theme for 2013 is Chosen and Appointed by God to Go and Bear Fruit from chapter 15 of the Gospel of John. We are the branches through which the True Vine must bear fruit. We bear fruit when we serve and support God and His Church. Read More

    2014 Stewardship Campaign Resources

    Stewardship Ministries

Our icon for 2014 is The Gifts of the Magi and our theme is a quote from St. John Chrysostom “A Rich Man is not one who has much but one who gives much. For what he gives away remains his forever.” The Gifts of the Magi icon presents the Wise Men offering gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the Christ Child. These wealthy scholars and priests of the East endured numerous dangers, and traveled a great distance to offer their treasures to Christ, the newborn king. What a beautiful and meaningful example they set for all future generations, helping us to understand the blessing of giving. As we reflect on this beautiful stewardship icon, let us take to heart the words of St. John Chrysostom: “The rich man is not the one who has much, but the one who gives much. For what one gives away, he keeps for all eternity.” Read More

    2016 Stewardship Campaign Resources

    Stewardship Ministries

The theme for the 2016 Stewardship Campaign is "Those that seek the Lord shall never be in want of any good thing." The theme comes from the Bible where Jesus is concerned about the 5,000 men plus women and children that are with him in the wilderness. His disciples tell him that all they have are five loaves and two small fish that a boy has offered. Jesus’ response is the phrase, “Bring them to me.” Jesus then takes the loaves, blesses and breaks them, and feeds 5,000 men plus women and children. Read More

The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is deeply committed to the protection of its children and youth. Those who work with our young people are accountable to God and the community to ensure their safety, well-being, and spiritual formation.
