Women's History Month Highlight: Maria Anna Kassomenakis, Administrative Assistant to the Archdiocese District Chancellor

March is International Women’s History Month, and it would only be proper to celebrate it by honoring the women of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. We want to showcase the wonderful women who work for our beloved Archdiocese and its Affiliated Institutions this March to celebrate their contributions and the talents they bring to our Church. This second week we present the resilient women of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

Position: Administrative Assistant to the Archdiocese District Chancellor

Over the past thirty plus years, with the grace of God, Maria has managed to build her life and career in New York. Having a strong knowledge of both the Greek and English languages, opened up doors for her and enabled her to serve and help the Greek Community in a professional manner. Working for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America blessed her with the opportunity to blend her strong faith with her professional ability. After so many years, she is proud to say that she has now a well-known presence within the Greek Community of the tri-state area and beyond.

What is the role of faith in my life?

Instead of answering the question of what is the role of faith in my life, I am asking what is life without faith? To that I give this answer: When contemplating life without faith, I see an existence devoid of meaning and purpose – a meaningless and unworthy life.
