We are taking this moment to honor, with special mention, those among us who demonstrate the true servant-leadership exemplified by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, after He had washed the feet of His Disciples, said to them:

Archbishop Elpidophoros Homily at Great Vespers and Stavrophoria (HCHC 2023)
Tonight we adorn our celebrations for the Commencement of our precious Σχολή, with the awarding of Alumni Crosses to those observing their tenth, twenty-fifth, and fiftieth anniversaries of graduation. It truly is a moment when we see the march of the “long black line” of clergy and lay leaders who have emerged from the School with distinction and with their own distinctiveness.

Remarks by Archbishop Elpidophoros at the OCMC Banquet
What a wonderful event for our Orthodox Christian Mission Center, here at Saint Katherine in Falls Church! Archbishop Elpidophoros Remarks at the Flag Raising Ceremony – Bowling Green
We have just marched with the Presidential Φρουρά from the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine, in order to gather here at Bowling Green, and raise the emblem of Greek Independence. We gave abundant thanks and praised God in our Doxology at Saint Nicholas, which stands – reborn – an image of the Renaissance of Greece that we mark in that most famous of years, 1821. Now, we have come to this place where, every year, the honor to raise our National Standard is afforded to our community, thanks to efforts of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of the Greater New York, and we thank them for their dedication to this occasion.
