Women's History Month Highlight: Mari Diveris McMullen, Media Coordinator for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Center for Family Care

March is International Women’s History Month, and it would only be proper to celebrate it by honoring the women of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. We want to showcase the wonderful women who work for our beloved Archdiocese and its Affiliated Institutions this March to celebrate their contributions and the talents they bring to our Church. This week we present the resilient women of the Center for Family Care of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

Mari Diveris McMullen

Position: Media Coordinator for the GOA Center for Family Care

Undoubtedly, the most profound achievement of Mari’s life is the sacred bond of love, marriage, and family that her husband, Brian, and her have nurtured and built together, guided by the grace of God, over the past decade. This foundation of love and commitment was the cornerstone of her journey, enriching their lives in immeasurable ways.

On an academic level, one of her proudest moments occurred in 2015 when she was awarded the Certificate in Byzantine Music with distinction from Hellenic College Holy Cross. This accomplishment not only symbolized the dedication to the rich heritage of Byzantine music but also reflected her commitment to academic excellence and lifelong learning.

What is the role of faith in my life?

The role of faith in my life is…everything! My faith permeates every corner of my life, consciously and unconsciously, and I am so thankful that my work is also directly tied to it. Over the past 11 years at the GOA, my faith has only been strengthened by my remarkable co-workers who I love like family and have been so blessed to work with.
