March is International Women’s History Month, and it would only be proper to celebrate it by honoring the women of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. We want to showcase the wonderful women who work for our beloved Archdiocese and its Affiliated Institutions this March to celebrate their contributions and the talents they bring to our Church. This week we present the resilient women of Leadership 100.

Fran Karivalis, Leadership 100 

Within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, I am privileged to work at Leadership 100, where I witnessed the endowment fund grow from $30 million to almost $100 million. Along with other duties, I am primarily responsible for managing the financial reporting process, working with our accountants and auditors during the year, supporting the Investment and Audit Committees, and coordinating logistics for the annual Leadership 100 conferences.  

Working at Leadership 100 I have been able to use my previous corporate experience and apply it in the non-profit sector. I bring a business and technology background with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science from the College of New Jersey. Prior to joining Leadership 100, I worked in the Corporate Comptrollers Department of Prudential Insurance Company.  

Role of Faith in My Life:  

Growing up I was active in the St. George, Trenton community, in Sunday School and GOYA, which provided me with the foundation for my faith, which I have relied on throughout my life. My faith has helped me during challenging times and helped me to really appreciate and be thankful for the good things in my life.  

It has been a great joy to have participated and contributed to the growth of Leadership 100 over the years. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the Founders and continue to work with the Executive Committee, Board members and the incredible women at Leadership 100.
