March is International Women’s History Month, and it would only be proper to celebrate it by honoring the women of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. We want to showcase the wonderful women who work for our beloved Archdiocese and its Affiliated Institutions this March to celebrate their contributions and the talents they bring to our Church. This week we present the resilient women of Leadership 100.

Dina Theodosakis, Leadership 100  

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and I am an active member at my home parish of the Three Hierarchs and Kimisis Tis Theotokou in Southampton. 

I have served the Archdiocese in numerous capacities beginning with Communications, Archons, Office of Archbishop Iakovos and presently in Leadership 100. 

Among my numerous responsibilities are membership, conference and staff support for the Grant Committee, Nominating Committee, Executive Committee and Board of Trustees and the young professionals program. 

I am privileged to work under Paulette who was my Sunday School teacher and mentored me in areas of fundraising and membership recruitment.  

What is the role of Faith in my life? 

I was raised in the Church and my beloved parents took my siblings and me to Church on Sunday and encouraged us to participate in the life of the Church through Sunday School, Greek School, GOYA and Girl Scouts.  This has been a challenging year for my family and me as we faced the loss of my beloved father, and it is my faith that continues to help me. I find comfort in prayer and strength through my commitment to the Church.
