PALM SUNDAY CELEBRATED IN MUKONGORO, KUMI

His Grace Bishop Silvester concelebrated the hierarchical Divine Liturgy with His Eminence Metropolitan Innocentios of Sozusa at Panagia Paramythia - Mukongoro parish to observe the glorious and triumphant entry of our Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem on a donkey's colt.

Wishing them a blessed Holy Week, Bishop Silvester encouraged the Orthodox faithfuls of Kumi to never feel remorseful because they observe Pascha all alone.

"Remember the Apostles of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the few believers in the first century stood amongst the whole empire that was idolatrous and they were worshipping the one true risen God Jesus Christ; in the same way, we Orthodox Christians continue to worship our Lord Jesus Christ in the orthodox way as few as we but so proud that we are Orthodox. Learn to stand alone by the Lord Jesus Christ", he said.

This parish is located in Kumi district, Mukongoro sub-county, Omerein village, two kilometers off Mukongoro Kidongole road. It is currently under the pastoral guidance of our Secretary General, Rev Fr Philemonos Ochom.
