New Chief Secretary of the Holy Eparchial Synod

NEW YORK – Archbishop Demetrios has announced that effective November 15, 2018, His Grace Bishop Apostolos of Medeia has been appointed the new Chief Secretary of the Holy Eparchial Synod. Additionally, His Grace will have other duties related to his episcopal identity. Prior to his present appointment Bishop Apostolos has served as Chancellor of the Holy Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco, since 2011.

 

The departing Chief Secretary of the Holy Eparchial Synod, His Grace Bishop Sevastianos of Zela having served in that office for the past 12 years and as spiritual advisor of the National Philoptochos for the past six and a half years, will continue his Archpastoral ministry in the Holy Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta, where he will be assisting His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta.
