Metropolitans Ambrosios of Korea and Nathanael of Kos and Nisyros to represent Ecumenical Patriarch at the 43rd Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress

New York – His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America was informed yesterday by a letter from His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew that Metropolitans Ambrosios of Korea and Nathanael of Kos and Nisyros will represent His All Holiness and the Ecumenical Patriarchate at the 43rd Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress, to be held July 3-8, 2016 at the at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

The preparations for the 43rd Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress are intensifying and the registration is still open and online at www.clergylaity.org Delegates, presvyteres, retired clergy, observers and workshop participants must register online and will receive information and updates electronically before, during and after the Congress. All are strongly encouraged to register by June 15th to avoid any late fees.

The Archdiocese is also utilizing web-based and smartphone app technology to ensure that Congress participants will be able to electronically access all Congress information including up-dated schedules, and speaker information. Information will be updated in real time enabling delegates to have the most up-to-date information.

Additionally, this year delegates will have the option to have all documents electronically and will have access to documents in real time during the Congress Workshops and Forums.


Delegate registrations can be paid via credit card and will be processed immediately. Once registered, delegates will begin to receive regular updates and information electronically.

The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese has also added a special category of participant for this year’s Congress.  The “Workshop Only” category will allow individuals to attend only the workshop and forum sessions to learn more about the Ministries of the Archdiocese.
