In our Metropolis, Sunday, January 21 is designated as Oratorical Education Sunday.

7th-12th Sunday School teachers are encouraged to review the St John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival topics with their classes and enable them a chance to explore and understand them. Let this be an opportunity for GOYAns to ask questions and get a jump start on their speeches!

In addition to topic discussion in Sunday School, all parishes pass a special tray to benefit the Metropolis of Pittsburgh Oratorical Scholarship Fund. Proceeds from these trays will be used to award cash scholarships to the top 2 finalists in each Division at our Metropolis Oratorical Festival.

As a reminder, our Metropolis Oratorical Festival will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at St. John the Forerunner in Youngstown, Ohio.
