New York, NY - His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios has announced the appointment of Mr. Jerry Dimitriou as Executive Director of Administration for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, effective January 1, 2000.

Mr. Dimitriou previously served the Archdiocese from 1987 through February 1998. During his 11 years with the Archdiocese he served as Associate Director of Economic Development through 1992 when he was appointed Director of Finance and Administration and held that position through 1996. He continued as Director of Finance until his departure from the Archdiocese in 1998.

Mr. Dimitriou was until recently the Chief Financial Officer of Chase/USI, the Commercial Insurance Division of the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, a position that he resigned from in order to assume the responsibilities of Executive Director of Administration for the Archdiocese.
