Archbishop Elpidophoros at the Ecumenical Patriarchate
New York, NY – His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros will depart for Istanbul today, Saturday, March 13. Throughout the course of his trip, the Archbishop will attend meetings at the Ecumenical Patriarchate. While at the Phanar, His Eminence will pay his respects at the tomb of his father.
On Saturday, March 20, the Archbishop will participate in the enthronement of the newly-elected Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, and on Sunday, March 21, he will participate in the Patriarchal Liturgy commemorating the Sunday of Orthodoxy.
Upon his return, the Archbishop will preside over the Bicentennial celebrations commemorating the Greek Revolution of 1821.
