Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries and Ionian Village Relocate to St. Basil Academy

Garrison, NY - With the vision and support of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, a Youth and Family Ministry Resource Center has been established on the grounds of St. Basil Academy. The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, the Office of Ionian Village and Camping Ministries, and the Archdiocesan District Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries have relocated to St. Basil Academy in Garrison, New York.

According to the Executive Director of Administration of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, Mr. Jerry Dimitriou, “in doing this, we have centralized our efforts and offices building a true vision of Orthodox Youth Ministry in this country”. Adding to this, Father Mark A. Leondis, the Director of the Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries stated “by fulfilling this vision of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, we are able to better serve the needs of our youth and youth workers of the holy Archdiocese of America”.
