On Monday, November 27, 2023, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America extended a warm and gracious welcome to His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. His Grace traveled from Australia by invitation of the Pan-Kalymnian Federation of America.

His Grace served as the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Saint John between 2005 and 2019. In 2019, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia appointed His Grace Vicar-General of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia. On Christmas Day in 2019, Archbishop Makarios ordained His Grace Bishop of Meloa.

Yesterday, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine at the World Trade Center, His Grace presided over the Great Hierarchical Vespers on the memory of St. Andrew the first-called Apostle. Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne, Rev. Fr. Andreas Vithoulkas, welcomed His Grace to the shrine.

This Sunday, December 3, 2023, Bishop Emilianos shall lead the celebration of Divine Liturgy at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity.
