2005 Inter-Orthodox National Youth Worker Conference

Garrison, NY - The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries is pleased to announce the 2005 Inter-Orthodox National Youth Worker Conference, sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, the Antiochian Christian Orthodox Archdiocese, the Orthodox Church in America, and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the United States of America.

This year's conference will take place October 21-23, 2005 at the Diakonia Center in Salem, South Carolina, featuring Rev. Father James Gavrilos as the keynote speaker.

Events begin on Friday evening and will include a keynote address, educational sessions and workshops, roundtable discussions with youth workers, and daily worship services. The conference-wide theme, Are You Ready, will tackle a variety of topics including practical programming and organization, the spiritual formation of teenagers, relevant contemporary social issues, as well as spirituality and ministry. Registration is open to anyone interested in working with youth, including but not limited to: Clergy, Youth Directors, Youth Workers, Volunteers, Teachers, Coaches, and Parents.

This inter-Orthodox effort has been taking place for 15 years, and has proven to be an invaluable asset to those working with young people.
