The Department of Internet Ministries is concerned about your family's safety on the Internet. We give talks on healthy technology usage in parishes and at conferences. We also are involved in a number of other cross-denominational and national-level causes.

Our Department has represented the Archdiocese in the past in such initiatives as the Religious Alliance Against Pornography (RAAP). RAAP continues to work with the major US Wireless carriers to protect minors from the threat of adult content on mobile devices.

In 2012, the Department of Internet Ministries and US Catholic Conference of Bishops partnered to develop a joint Internet and Mobile Safety guide for parents. The focus of the guide will be using technology appropriately and safely through the eyes of faith, covering topics such as safety with surfing the Internet, cell phones, social media, search engines, cyber bullying, and other relevant topics parents often face.
