Metropolis of Boston Clergy Lenten Retreat

BOSTON, Mass. (April 11, 2024) Clergy from the Metropolis gathered for an overnight Lenten retreat at the St. Methodios Faith & Heritage Center at the mid-point of Lent on April 9-10. His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios welcomed Bishop John, as well as guest speaker Archimandrite Zacharias Zachariou, who joined us remotely from the monastery of St. John the Baptist in Essex, England.  Fr. Zacharias gave two presentations with discussion following: The Fear Of God As A Protective Gift and The Divine Liturgy As Hypostatic Prayer.  In addition to the edifying presentations our clergy enjoyed worshipping together and fellowship, with many taking advantage of the nice weather to enjoy the many hiking trails surrounding the camp and Retreat House.  All returned to their parishes refreshed and prepared for remaining weeks of Lent and beyond.
