Although I was privileged to attend our blessed seminary as well as one of the world’s great universities, one of the greatest teachers of my student years was my high school civics teacher, Mrs. Pearl June. She had the uncanny ability to make difficult concepts readily understandable, and she made invaluable contributions to our individual sense of self-esteem by demonstrating how much she valued each one of us.
