On December 9th, Philoxenia House was visited by several parishes in the Metropolis of Boston to learn more about the ministries offered by the Metropolis in the greater Boston area:

On Saturday, December 9th, the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Philoptochos (Sommerville, MA), accompanied by Fr. Anthony Tandilyan, visited the Philoxenia House. The Philoptochos generously donated numerous requested items from the Amazon Wish List to fulfill the house's needs. In addition to the donated items, the ladies brought homemade pastries to share. During their visit, they had the honor of spending time with His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios and engaging with the Philoxenia guests. The event was a meaningful gathering that strengthened the bonds within the community and highlighted the ongoing support provided by the Philoptochos to the Philoxenia House.

On Thursday, December 7th, the Roslindale GOYA, accompanied by their parish priest, Father Odisseys Drossos, paid a visit to the Philoxenia House. Bringing along a Christmas tree and all the trimmings for decorating, the group contributed to creating a festive and joyful atmosphere. Alongside the guests of the Philoxenia House, the GOYA members indulged in dessert and came together to sing Christmas carols, fostering a sense of community and holiday cheer. The presence of both the youth group and their parish priest added a special touch to the occasion, emphasizing the spirit of unity and compassion during the festive season.
