Young Professionals Dialogue

33rd Annual Leadership 100 Conference

March 1, 2024

The Ritz-Carlton Naples – Vanderbilt Ballroom

My Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I am delighted to be able to have this distinct and private dialogue with all of you, the Young Professionals of Leadership 100.

You are the future of this organization, and this organization is very much linked to the future of our Archdiocese.

Think of our Church as an institution – which it is to a degree. Just as educational and philanthropic institutions have endowment funds to promote their growth and indeed, evolution, so Leadership 100 spurs on our Archdiocese, which is very is grateful indeed.

For forty years, Leadership has provided the extra capacity and orientation to the institutional Church, so that we may meet the needs of our Faithful.

Now, at this turning point when we are looking to the next forty years, Leadership will be a most significant determinant of that future. And you, who are the young professionals, will be in the governing roles that Leadership 100 provides to the Church.

I pray that all of you will remain engaged. I hope that you will take this time of internship, if you will, and bring about even greater results and accomplishments for the Church, which Leadership’s first generation achieved.

With these few remarks, I am anxious to dive into the subjects that are of interest and importance to you, and to engage all of you in a productive and spiritually refreshing dialogue.

Let us begin.
