Amy Kalogeropoulos to Director

New York, NY – The National Philoptochos Executive Board of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society, Inc., has promoted Amy Kalogeropoulos to Director of the National Philoptochos Office.
 
Ms. Kalogeropoulos was hired in 2018 as the Development and Information Officer and was responsible for articulating and implementing the Society’s long-term strategic development plan as well as all aspects of communications. While in the role, and in consultation with the National Philoptochos Executive Board and Public Relations Committee, she has worked tirelessly to increase Philoptochos’ reach throughout the United States with a dynamic social media presence and harnessing the power of online giving to raise money for the various projects and programs of the Society, in addition to working on multiple video production projects to document Philoptochos events, such as the 2019 Children’s Medical Fund Luncheon held in Chicago, IL.
 
“It’s an honor to accept this position at the National Philoptochos Office, especially coming from being an active member of my Philoptochos Chapter in Worcester,” said Ms. Kalogeropoulos at the March 27, 2021 National Board Meeting. “It makes me proud to be the woman my parents raised me to be in upholding my faith and heritage and doing good works as much as I can, and I look forward to the new term and the future ahead.”
 
Ms. Kalogeropoulos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Rehabilitation Services from Assumption College, in Worcester, MA. She was born and raised in Worcester, MA, an active member/ volunteer in her St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral community; a hands-on member of the Philoptochos Chapter, having previously served on the Chapter Board as Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer; and having served on the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos Board. Previously, she worked as a Director of Operations for the Disability Policy Consortium, Malden, MA, a statewide disability nonprofit.
