Question: "Is the betrothal service held at the time of the wedding or if it could be held at the time of the engagement? I was told by my Nouna that she had her engagement blessed in the Church. Is this the same thing?"
Answer: The Betrothal Service and Marriage are conducted together. However, there is another service that some priests do called the Blessing of the Rings Service. This service is generally done on or around the engagement. I pray this information helps clarify things.
