Archbishop Elpidophoros' Visit to Saint Mark Church in Boca Raton Continues

In the afternoon of Friday, March 17, 2023 His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America gathered with South Florida Archons at Saint Mark Church in Boca Raton, FL for a roundtable discussion on the life and role of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Along with 10 Archons from Saint Mark, other faithful from South Florida gathered with the local Regional Commander, John Scurtis, and had a robust discussion. We thank Archon John Koutsoupis and Archon Girard Mitchell for facilitating the event. Following, a discussion took place on the charter and we were blessed with an open dialogue and listened the concise and clear vision for the Church to continue to thrive.
In the evening, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America presided over the 3rd Salutations Service to the Theotokos, where he was able to greet over 400 parishioners of Saint Mark, and gave a special gift to each of the young people present. His Eminence elevated Father James Moulketis as a Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne as the Church chanted Axios. The Saint Mark Church presented His Eminence with a $6,500 donation to the GOA Earthquake Relief Fund, as well as a $10,000 donation to the Clergy Pension Fund, in His Eminence’s honor.
Following, the faithful gathered in the Fellowship Hall for a parish Lenten dinner hosted by the Philoptochos, where His Eminence greeted each parishioner individually.
