“Living Salvation”: The Twelve Great Feasts in Scripture, Icons, and Hymns is the first in a series of online religious education programs by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago’s Religious Education Department.

Dr. Paraskevè Tibbs will host three presentations in one webinar that will help participants gain a deeper understanding of Christ and the Holy Church during the time of Great Lent. Adults, Sunday School teachers/religious educators, choir members, Philoptochos members, young adults, and teenagers are invited to participate in this free event.

This Zoom conversation will include a time for Q&A from the audience.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER 

Dr. Paraskevè Tibbs is an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, where she has taught for more than twenty years.  Her specialties include both Orthodox Theology and Western Systematic Theology.  Dr. Tibbs received a Master of Theology with an emphasis on Biblical Studies and a Doctorate in Theology with an emphasis in Church History from Fuller. She has taught at the Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute. She has been a leader in the Eastern Orthodox Studies Group of the American Academy of Religious. Dr. Tibbs coordinates Christian Education within the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco and is a member of the Metropolis Council.

Dr. Tibbs lives in Orange County, California, and is a member of St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Irvine, where she is choir director, chanter, and leader of the Sunday School Board. She and her husband, Steve, are the parents of three daughters and grandparents of eight.
