BIOGRAPHICAL

Father Andreas was born in Flushing, NY in 1972. He attended he Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Shrine Church in Flushing, and graduated from the William Spyropoulos Day School. He graduated in 1994 from Hellenic College (with distinction) with a BA in Religious Studies. In 1998 he graduated from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, receiving a M.Div. (with high distinction). In 2001, he married Anthoula Hatzimihalis, and they were blessed with twin sons, Nikolas and Petros in 2005. He was ordained to the Diaconate and Priesthood in 2007, and was immediately appointed Assistant to the then Chancellor of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, Bishop Savas of Troas (now Metropolitan of Pittsburgh.

In 2014 he was awarded the rank of Economos and in 2017 that of Protopresbyter. Between the years 2007 and 2019, he served as Assistant Priest and Presiding Priest in three parishes in Hempstead, NY, Bridgeport, CT, and Brookville, NY. In 2020, he was appointed Presiding Priest of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Manhattan, NY.

In 2019, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America appointed him Chancellor of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and he continues to serve in that position to this day.
