Oratorical Festival LogoThe St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival of the Department of Religious Education is one of the most successful programs for young people in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. For decades, it has offered young people the opportunity to grow in their knowledge of the Greek Orthodox Faith and Way of Life. The participants, ranging from seventh graders to high school seniors, are evidence that we can nurture a generation of young people who can become faithful leaders of our Church with support from our communities.

The Oratorical Festival season is underway, and since the fall, our young people have been working on their presentations with the help of parents and educators. The top speakers advance from the Parish to District and Metropolis festivals to become Archdiocesan (national) finalists. Two finalists representing each Metropolis of our Archdiocese will participate and become eligible to receive an award. The St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival Scholarship Fund awards prizes ranging from $500 to $2000.

The Department of Religious Education hopes you will consider supporting the Oratorical Festival Scholarship Fund. Every contribution helps grow this Fund so that the Archdiocese can offer prizes to the top-rated speakers at the National Festival. We hope you can attend an Oratorical Festival to witness our young participants' knowledge, conviction, and eloquence when they speak about their Faith.

This year we have made giving a little easier for you. You can simply send your heartfelt contributions electronically now via the iDonate Form.

Thank you kindly in advance for your consideration to support this worthy program of our Archdiocese through your generosity towards the Oratorical Festival Scholarship Fund.
