Women's History Month Highlight: Amy Kalogeropoulos, Director of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society

March is International Women’s History Month, and it would only be proper to celebrate it by honoring the women of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. We want to showcase the wonderful women who work for our beloved Archdiocese and its Affiliated Institutions this March to celebrate their contributions and the talents they bring to our Church. This first week we present the resilient women of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society.

What is the role of faith in my life?

Faith is the cornerstone of my life, deeply intertwined with every aspect of my being and guiding my journey every step of the way. Raised in the rich traditions of the Greek Orthodox Church, my faith has instilled in me values of compassion, resilience, and service to others.

In both my personal and professional endeavors, my Greek Orthodox upbringing serves as a guiding light, shaping my decisions and actions. It's not just a part of who I am; it's the foundation upon which I build my life. Whether navigating challenges in my career or celebrating achievements, my faith grounds me and infuses every accomplishment with purpose and meaning. It's about using my talents and abilities to uplift others and make a positive impact in the world, reflecting the teachings of love and compassion.

In essence, my work and accomplishments are a testament to the all-encompassing influence of my Greek Orthodox upbringing, guiding me to live a life of purpose, integrity, and service to others.
