Episode 6 – Season 2, The Black American Orthodox Experience on OCN. An Interview with Micah and Agatha Triplett—Finding Orthodoxy and Joining a Mission-minded Parish

In this fifth episode of “The Black American Orthodox Experience” (season 2), a collaboration of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and the Orthodox Christian Network, Rev. Samuel Davis discusses with Micah and Agatha Triplett their conversion in Orthodoxy. Micah’s explained how his experience attending Gordon Conwell Seminary, a well renowned Protestant Seminary Institution in preparation for Ministry and Service, affected his conversion into the Orthodox Church. Agatha talked on the difficulty of multitasking while expanding their family, gaining a master’s degree and having the seminar, and later becoming professionals by having church at the center of their lives. Lastly, they touched upon the efforts and concerns of urban missions within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

The Black American Orthodox Experience is a program focused on Orthodox missions in America—insights, challenges, and how we can reach (and are reaching) members of Black, Indigenous, and other communities with the Church of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to feature honest and informative conversations about what the Great Commission looks like in modern America within a historical and cultural context.
