Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church is located at 140 S. Grand Ave., Poughkeepsie, New York. Greek immigrants settled the Mid-Hudson River region with Poughkeepsie, NY as its largest city in the late 19th century and built Kimisis Tis Theotokou in 1923. In 1969, the cornerstone to the relocated church on South Grand Avenue was laid. The current church on South Grand Avenue was built to accommodate a growing population.

The Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church is a vibrant community supporting each other and their neighbors. The Church hosts many volunteer and stewardship opportunities such as their Philoptochos Prodos Chapter's raffle to help support Cancer Fund & Social Services. Most recently, the Youth Ministry gathered after church with friends to help build bears for Premature Babies in the NICU at Vassar Hospital.
