As Orthodox Christians, we profess God to be the lover of mankind. How does God draw us to a closer and deeper relationship with Him? Why do our hearts seem fragmented and disfigured in that relationship? Is God removed from us, watching from a distance, while we are here below living our lives in hopes of something more to come? Join us for a weekend Retreat exploring these questions and prepare our hearts and minds for the Lenten Journey towards the Lord’s Resurrection.

Friday, March 8th 6:00 p.m. Welcome Reception and Heavy hors d’oeuvres - Banquet Hall 7:00 p.m. First Talk - The God Who Hides Christ said: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened. In all of these cases, however, something is hidden. There is a mystery at work in how God relates to us in the world. In short: God Hides. Why does He hide? What is the purpose? What does it mean for us as we seek His face?
Saturday, March 9th 8:30 - Orthros - Cathedral 9:30 - Divine Liturgy - Saturday of the Souls -Cathedral 10:45 a.m.- Light Brunch - Banquet Hall 11:15 - Second Talk: The Hidden Place of the Heart God makes Himself known to us in the heart, according to the Fathers. However, the heart is often a place of distortion and darkness. How do we get beyond the darkness to find the truth of God within?
Third Talk: Everywhere Present The modern world has famously been described as “disenchanted.” People have a way of seeing the world as empty. The Church teaches that the whole world is a sacrament, that God is everywhere present and filling all things. How do we move from disenchantment to sacramental.
