Homelessness Guidebook for Orthodox Parishes

The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is pleased to announce the publication by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA of the Homelessness Guidebook for Orthodox Parishes.

This guidebook was cultivated as a resource for Orthodox Christians on how to respond to homelessness by understanding the Church’s theology and tradition in serving the vulnerable, how to break down stereotypes of homelessness, best practices of Orthodox Christian ministries in parishes and in organizations, best practices of other religious institutions, and how to start a ministry at your own parish, grow an existing ministry, or engage with existing ministries in your community.

It was done with the support of the Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, who is also a member of the NGO Working Group to End Global Homelessness at the UN.
