Clergy-Laity Congress Online Registration Now Open

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and the Clergy Laity Congress Organizing Committee are pleased to announce the opening of online registration for the 47th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress. This year the Congress will take place at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina from June 30 to July 4, 2024 with the theme, “In Christ we are one” inspired by Romans 12:4-5.

The Clergy-Laity Congress is an important event in the life of the Church in America, and as such, every parish is urged to select delegates who will actively participate in the work of the Congress. The Metropolis of San Francisco will host the Congress, under the guidance of His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco as well as Co-Chairs Archon Isidoros and Maria Garifalakis and Archon Gerry and Jeannie Ranglas.

In addition, the National Philoptochos Convention has launched their registration online simultaneously. Members from all over the country will gather during the same time in San Diego to focus on the theme of “Army of Agape: Inspire the Woman, Impact the World.”

His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros expressed his anticipation for the upcoming Clergy-Laity Congress stating, “As we gather to discuss how to strengthen and grow our parishes and ministries, we will also gather in prayer through the presence of the Monastic Synaxis and at our Divine Liturgy on Wednesday morning. And as always, we will be joined by the Philoptochos Society, who is hosting their national convention at the same time. Together, we will represent the spiritual, philanthropic, and administrative aspects of our beloved Archdiocese. As we have concluded celebrating our first centennial, we must now lay the groundwork for the next 100 years, for the generations of our children and grandchildren, so that we create a solid foundation on which they will grow.”
