DENVER – Assumption Cathedral hosted an Archon symposium Jan. 28-29 on the “The Holy and Great Council,” presented by Archon George Demacopoulos, Ph.D., professor of Theology at Fordham University. More than 85 people attended, including 14 Archons. A luncheon was sponsored by the Assumption Cathedral Archons and Dr. Gregory and Stellee Papadeas hosted a dinner at their home. Professor Demacopoulos updated the guests on the Orthodox Christian Studies Center at Fordham University, of which he is co-director. On Sunday, at the end of Liturgy, Archon Demacopoulos spoke to the congregation on the plight of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
