Fr. Alexander Karloutsos, assistant to Archbishop Demetrios for public affairs and protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, was bestowed with the Cross of the Order of Holy Sepulchre by Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem in a ceremony at the patriarchate March 19.

Fr. Karloutsos has been instrumental over the years in garnering support for the Church in Jerusalem. In the U.S., his recent activities have focused on spearheading support for the construction of Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine.
