The Assembly of Bishops USA Announces a Nationwide COVID-19 Parish Reopening Toolkit

NEW YORK – On Wednesday, May 13, 2020, the Hierarchs of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA released a statement on the reopening of parishes during and after the COVID-19 Pandemic and launched a nationwide COVID-19 Parish Reopening Toolkit to assist bishops and parishes as they determine a legal and safe approach to reopening.

By entering a zip code, the COVID-19 Parish Reopening Toolkit provides easy access to legal realities, new case trends, as well as suggested guidelines, protocols, and templates. The information is intended for use in conjunction with other sources and considerations – including parish size, location, ventilation, cleaning capacity, etc. – to create a tailored plan on a case-by-case basis.
