Young Adult Retreat a Success

God’s Plan and Your Plan….Will it ever make Sense?

Young Adults from the Metropolis were joined by Young Adults from MA, MI, NJ, NY, TN & VA for the Young Adult Spring Retreat at Camp Nazareth, PA, May 4-6. Our Keynote Speakers, Bishop Gregory of Nyssa of the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese and Steven Christoforou, Director of the Archdiocese’s Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministries (Y2AM) shared their thoughts on the theme.

A year ago, the Metropolis began co-sponsoring the retreats specifically for Young Adults (19 – 35) with the Carpatho-Russian Diocese. This has allowed us to offer an affordable weekend for Young Adults ($75). After the weekend, Participants were given an online anonymous survey and here are some of their thoughts:

“I found the retreat thoughtfully relaxing, insightful, and spiritually uplifting.”

“I enjoyed how it felt like a big community with everyone together and genuinely interested in having conversations.”

“The retreat was amazing. The camp is so beautiful in the Spring. The people were so welcoming. I feel like I have so many new Orthodox friends.”

Are you age 19-25 or do you know someone who is??? Mark your calendars now for the Young Adult Fall Retreat at Camp Nazareth, October 5-7, 2018.
