What should Great Lent Mean in our Life?

Fr. Christopher, Fr. James and Emmy will examine the Orthodox

Christians journey through Great Lent and its significance for

the journey of every Christian's salvation.

During the program they will examine the meaning of the Liturgy

of the Presanctified Gifts, the Prayer of Saint Ephraim the

Syrian, the Great Canon of Saint Andrew of Crete, and other

treasures of Orthodox Christian Lenten worship.

Saint Ephraim's Prayer

O Lord and Master of my life! Take from me the spirit of sloth,

faint-heartedness, lust of power, and idle talk. But give

rather, the spirit of chastity, humility, patience, and love to

Thy servant. Grant me to se my own errors and not to judge my

brother; For thou art blessed unto ages of ages. Amen
