Come Receive the Light National Radio Program for February 16, 2002

Topic : Race to Respond

Guest : Jim Angelus, Race organizer and cycling team captain

Race To Respond is more than an adventure and a test of athletic skill and endurance, it is a tribute to the human spirit and a metaphor for life itself. The goal is to celebrate IOCC’s 10 years of service and to support its worldwide humanitarian efforts to respond to the call for help from those in need around the globe. IOCC (International Orthodox Christian Charities) is the official humanitarian aid and development agency of the Orthodox Churches of the Americas.

In just 10 years, IOCC has provided more than $100 million, to 21 countries, in program services to some of the world's most vulnerable people - orphans, refugees, the elderly, people with disabilities and those whose lives have been torn apart by war, natural disasters or ethnic strife in 21 countries. Through awareness and support raised from the Race to Respond, IOCC will continue to provide the tools needed to rebuild communities one family at a time.
