Anecdotal information suggests that many churches are reporting a drop in attendance and commitment among members of Generations X and Y. Archdiocesan statistics also suggest that fewer intermarried couples are opting to marry in the Greek Orthodox Church. This workshop will address these trends and pastoral challenges. In particular, the first part of the workshop will describe some frightening trends that should concern all clergy and lay leaders. The second part of the workshop will provide helpful strategies, together with a proposed protocol to help communities reach out to the distantly connected. This presentation was given by Fr.
