Communiqué of the Holy Eparchial Synod

Today His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America convened the Holy Eparchial Synod via teleconference for a regularly scheduled meeting. The proceedings focused on the preparation for the 200-year Anniversary of the Greek Revolution. 

Pertinent to the proceedings were the following:

1. A special Doxology Service was presented and approved for the 200-year Anniversary of the Greek Revolution by the Archbishop. The Doxology Service, in two languages, Greek and English, is available for use in the Holy Metropolises and Parishes. 

2. It was decided that an Archepiscopal and Synodical Encyclical will be published for this historic anniversary for the Greek nation and for all Greek-Americans.

3. The members of the Holy Eparchial Synod exchanged well wishes upon the commencement of Holy and Great Lent. The Archbishop wished the Most Reverend Metropolitans spiritual fruitfulness and vigilance during the blessed pilgrimage towards Holy Pascha.
