Holy Cross and Department of Internet Ministries Announce Launch of Orthodox Question Box

Brookline, MA - Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in cooperation with the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Department of Internet Ministries is pleased to announce the launch of Orthodox Question Box, a new online dialogue of Orthodox communication and learning. Orthodox Question Box will serve as an interactive forum for those exploring Orthodox Christianity as well as those who wish to learn more about their faith. Through the Holy Cross Field Education Program, trained and supervised seminarians will respond to questions via email.

According to Dr. Lewis J. Patsavos, Th.D., professor of Canon Law at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, "Orthodox Question Box offers the Internet users the ability to share a vision of the Church and society with persons who care. By seeking information on issues of faith from an informed staff, a vital dialogue on matters of concern occurs."

This program will serve as a training ground for the seminarians and will be another tangible means through which Holy Cross School of Theology and the Archdiocese Department of Internet Ministries work together to serve the needs of the Church in the United States.

According to Mr. Bill Flegas, Assistant Director of Internet Ministries, "This service is an excellent opportunity for Orthodox Christians to engage their faith and receive personal benefit and growth. At the same time, Orthodox Question Box will provide a unique avenue for seminarians to interact with the faithful. Seminarians will be exploring their vocational calling to Christ and His Church through the offering of their education and pastoral attention."

This cooperative effort is an extension of the many educational services offered by Internet Ministries and Holy Cross School of Theology. One may take advantage of Orthodox Question Box via email at [email protected] or at the official website - http://questionbox.hchc.edu/

Questions and comments about the Orthodox Christian faith will be answered within a period of a week.
