New Leadership For Metropolis Missions And Evangelism Ministry

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco Missions and Evangelism Ministry (MEM) has a new leadership team. Rev. Father Gerasimos “Jerry” Markopoulos and Mr. Kenny Scott will be serving as co-leads of this ministry, working collaboratively to further this important initiative for the growth of our faith and the establishment of new parishes.

“I am grateful to Father Jerry and Kenny for their eagerness to work together and grow Orthodoxy through the ongoing efforts of our Missions and Evangelism ministry,” stated His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco. “They both bring tremendous vision and passion to this effort and I am confident they will build upon the strong foundation of this ministry and be a valuable resource to all our parishes as we continue to grow Orthodoxy in our Metropolis.”

Utilizing their passion for sharing the Orthodox Faith with others, Father Jerry and Kenny, along with the members of the MEM Ministry Team, will focus their efforts on recruiting parish liaisons and supporting their efforts to coordinate the expansion of missions and evangelism in their respective parishes, organize an evangelism conference, collect and analyze data appropriate for the work of this ministry, and develop website content and resources for parish use.
