The Curricula of Studies for the Modern Greek Language (Checkpoint A & B) are developed by the Direct Archdiocesan District Office of Education in collaboration with the Institute of Modern Greek Studies (Manolis Triandaphyllidis Foundation) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The Curriculum at Checkpoint B (2014) is based on the philosophy and standards for the teaching of languages other than English (LOTE) to high school students of the intermediate level as described in the Syllabus: Modern Languages for Communication of the New York State Education Department.  It complements and enhances the Curriculum at Checkpoint A (2012), which is intended for beginners.

The Modern Greek Language Curricula support the Comprehensive Examination in Modern Greek, which is developed by the Direct Archdiocesan District Office of Education and also adheres to the philosophy and standards of the New York State examinations in LOTE that assess student learning.
