BE PART OF OUR GREEK AMERICAN COMMUNITY SHOWCASE

Submit your video by Thursday, May 11, 6:00 PM

Did you march under the rain in New York City for the Greek Independence Day Parade? Or, did you watch and cheer it on?

More importantly, DID YOU FILM with your cell phone?

We want to showcase our strong and vibrant Greek American community in a special presentation— and your video can be a part of it!

Send us your Instagram stories, Snapchats, TikToks, and selfie videos! It doesn’t have to be “professional quality” — it has to be fun. (But we don’t mind professional quality either).

Anyone who marched in last Sunday’s Greek Independence Parade in New York can tell you it poured. More than it has in over a decade. But they will probably also tell you it was pretty exhilarating:

Evzones marching down Fifth Avenue in gusty winds. Plastic ponchos over traditional costumes from Sparta, Pontos, Cyprus, and so many more. Puddles forming on drum sets, but the bands playing on.

We want to capture the joy and excitement of representing our community with love and pride. Show us what it meant for you to be part of one of the most quintessential experiences of the Greek American community: the 2023 NYC Greek Independence Parade.

Criteria:

  • Clips must in some way feature the 2023 Greek Independence Parade in New York City.
  • Clips can be horizontal or vertical.
  • Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, or other cell footage is encouraged!
  • Clips can be up to 1 minute long.
