Rev. Archimandrite Dr. Jacques Khalil explains that the word Επίσκοπος (Bishop) was used, in Hellenistic times, to refer to a manager of a building construction. Fr. Jacques defines the position of the Bishop in the New Testament times and in the context of Apostle Paul’s writings, particularly that of the Pastoral letters (I & II Timothy & Titus). Then he talks about the role and responsibilities of the Bishop as presented by Apostle Paul. Rev. Archimandrite Dr. Jacques Khalil spoke about The Bishop in the Pastoral letters (I & II Timothy & Titus) at the Pauline Symposium on October 9-17, 2008.
