Η Ελληνορθόδοξη Αρχιεπισκοπή Αμερικής, με έδρα την πόλη της Νέας Υόρκης, είναι Επισκοπή του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου Κωνσταντινουπόλεως, αποστολή της Αρχιεπισκοπής είναι να κηρύξει το Ευαγγέλιο του Χριστού, να διδάσκει και να διαδίδει την Ορθόδοξη Χριστιανική πίστη. να ενεργοποιήσει, να καλλιεργήσει και να καθοδηγήσει τη ζωή της Εκκλησίας στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής σύμφωνα με την Ορθόδοξη Χριστιανική πίστη και παράδοση.
Ο Ορθόδοξος Παρατηρητής τοποθετεί την Εκκλησία στο πλαίσιο του τρέχοντος κόσμου στον οποίο ζούμε μέσα από μια ποικιλόμορφη και ενημερωτική εμπειρία — προσφέροντας στους συμμετέχοντες ουσιαστικές ανταλλαγές με την Ελληνική Ορθόδοξη Αρχιεπισκοπή Αμερικής, τα τμήματα και τις διακονίες της.
