Y2AM Introduces Alethia Placencia, Effective Christian Ministry Coach

Orthodox Christian Youth and Young Adult Ministries (Y2AM) is excited to introduce you to the wonderful coaches in the first ever Effective Christian Ministry Cohort!

Name: Alethia Placencia
Current Parish: St. Peter the Apostle in Pomona, CA, Antiochian Archdiocese

What I love about ECM:
I love the way this course and community seek to meet youth AND those working in youth ministry where they are at. ECM uses our Orthodox way of life to minister to ministry workers. This is what ECM did for me. This work reminds us to give all glory to God, look towards our neighbors, and die to ourselves, as we seek to serve the young people of our Church.

My hopes for the Cohort:
I pray participants are able to share and learn together, make progress in understanding young people’s needs, strengthen personal relationships with Christ, and recognize God’s work through our efforts.

Favorite service or prayer:
A service that has been very influential in my life is “The Akathist of Thanksgiving: Glory to God for All Things” written by Fr. Gregory Petrov.
