V. Rev. Archimandrite Bartholomew Mercado Appointed Chaplain of HCHC's Holy Cross Chapel

New York – Today, August 5, 2022, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America received V. Rev. Archimandrite Bartholomew Mercado at the Archdiocesan Headquarters after His Eminence appointed Fr. Bartholomew as Chaplain of the Holy Cross Chapel at Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Fr. Bartholomew, who has most recently been serving as the Director of the Archives Department of the Archdiocese, received the Archbishop’s blessing as he prepares to commence his new responsibilities as Chaplain and as instructor of Canon Law for the School of Theology beginning August 21, 2022. Fr. Bartholomew is succeeding the outgoing Chaplain, Rev. Protopresbyter Michael Kouremetis who also serves as Dean of Students, as Fr. Michael will be focusing more on his ministry as Dean of Students.
