Summer of Theology at the Telos Center in Cambridge, MA

The Telos Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts is excited to announce a ‘Summer of Theology’! Three different scholars from three different institutions will lead three different speaker series. All professors, however, want not only to engage everyone with wonderful theological studies, but also teach you, the student, how to engage critically and thoughtfully with theological sources, so that you yourself may continue broadening your studies after they have left. Below is a list of classes and professors, as well as RSVPs for all classes. The Telos Center hopes to see you there!

Please note: For the seminar with Fr. John Behr, “From Scripture to Bible,” on July 8 at 10 AM, applications are required. This event will be different than all the other talks, as it will be an intensive seminar with Fr. John, designed for young adults with an interest in studying theology now and in the future. The Telos Center can only accept 12 young adults. This seminar also has a cost of $75, with a reduced cost of $25 for students. It is free, however, if you are a monthly donor! All other talks require neither an application nor a fee.

Founded by CrossRoad Institute in collaboration with Saints Constantine and Helen Orthodox Church, the Telos Center is designed to be a supportive hub for young adults in the Boston area. For over 20 years, CrossRoad Institute has worked with young Orthodox Christians from across the country. We’ve seen amazing possibilities arise when young adults find real community connections and are given the tools and guidance to creatively connect faith and their world. Consequently, the Telos Center tries to bring Orthodox young adults together, giving them the opportunity to grow and try out innovative ideas of their own. The Center’s calendar is a blend of weekly staple activities and creative events put on by the Center’s young adults.
