Philoptochos Society Responds to New Program from Covenant House

The Charity Committee of the Ladies Philoptochos Society of St. Luke Chapter recently responded to a new program from Covenant House.

The new program settles those who have aged out of foster care and are seeking safe shelter from being homeless. Covenant House improves the lives of those that need a home, including victims of human trafficking, when there is nowhere else to go. In pre-Covid times, most would be housed at the Covenant House Center in Philadelphia but safe housing and Covid necessitated a change. The new program, Transitional and Rapid Rehousing were in need of items that helped the young adults set up their own apartments.

The Charity Committee delivered 5 complete sets of items needed including; towels, bedding, shower items, cleaning supplies, and blankets.
As always, the Ladies Philoptochos and the Charity Committee are proud of our relationship with Covenant House.
